Coastal Hygiene: Protecting Our Beautiful Shores with Care 🌊🧹
MANGALPADY: Coastal regions are highly vulnerable to the rapid spread of infectious diseases. It is the collective responsibility of each citizen to guard and preserve the beautiful shores gifted to us with utmost vigilance and care. Unfortunately, our coastlines are increasingly turning into major dumping yards for waste.
Due to uprooted tree stumps and other debris washed ashore during the recent monsoon, local fishermen are currently facing severe hardships. They are unable to cast their nets or carry out their daily work properly, which heavily damages their expensive fishing nets and disrupts their daily livelihood.
In a proactive move to address this critical issue, the Mangalpady Grama Panchayat Managing Committee, Health Department officials, ASHA workers, Mangalpady Taluk Hospital authorities, and the Kumbla Coastal Police jointly launched a massive cleanliness drive in the Shirriya coastal belt. 🧹✨
The official inauguration of the mega cleanup drive was performed by the Honorable Panchayat President, Golden Abdul Rahman. Panchayat committee members, along with ward members Siddique Shirriya, Ashokan, and Sohra, led the collective mission alongside coastal police officers and healthcare professionals.
Let’s Unite for Cleaner Shores! 👍
If you notice anyone dumping waste in public spaces or along the coastline, please immediately report it to your local representatives or police authorities. Strict legal action will be taken against violators. We earnestly seek everyone's heartfelt cooperation for the betterment and well-being of our community.
